Over the years I have participated in many inspirational art courses. These have included the Open College of the Arts degree programme (completing an HNC in drawing and painting), Strathclyde University Evening Programme, the Moray Arts Centre short courses and the Studio at the House for an Art Lover in Glasgow. I am currently studying online with The Norfolk Painting School, led by Martin Kinnear.

I am a member of the Round About Art Sketching Group, sketching on location at many inspirational locations in and around the city of Glasgow and the surrounding area.

I work in a range of media, recently adding painting in oils to my work. Other media include acrylic, watercolour and mixed media.
Collage sometimes features in my work, with the occasional guest appearance from printmaking!

Favourite artists include The Glasgow Boys, Joan Eardley and Soraya French. Cas Holmes' beautiful textile landscapes are an inspiration in mixed media and the wonderful quirky prints of Mark Hearld bring joy.
James Watt's wonderful paintings of the Clyde are a constant source of inspiration and enjoyment.

I am a current member of the Society of Scottish Artists (SSA).
